Privacy Policy
Fractalogie ("the app", "we") is an AI-guided self-reflection tool. What you write during a scan is personal and often intimate — this page explains exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and how you stay in control. The short version: your scans belong to you, we sell nothing, and you can erase everything in one tap.
1. What we collect
- Account data (only if you sign in): your name and email address, provided by Apple or Google sign-in. You can use the core of the app without an account.
- Scan content: the text you write during a scan (your answers, the situations you describe) and the analysis generated from it.
- Subscription status: whether a membership is active, handled by RevenueCat and Apple. We never see or store your payment details.
- Basic technical data: app language and version, used to make the app work. We run no advertising and no cross-app tracking.
2. How your scan content is processed
To generate your analysis, the text you write during a scan is sent securely to OpenAI's API. Per OpenAI's API terms, this data is not used to train their models. The analysis is returned to your device. Your input is also screened by an automated moderation step to keep the experience safe.
- Without an account: your scan result is stored only on your device.
- With an account: your scans are stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) so they sync across your devices. Access is restricted to your account by row-level security.
3. What we never do
- We never sell or rent your data.
- We never share your scan content with advertisers or data brokers.
- We never use your scan content to train AI models.
4. Deleting your data
In the app: Me → delete my account. This permanently erases your account and every scan stored in the cloud, immediately. Scans stored only on your device are removed by deleting the app.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR and equivalent laws you may access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and object to or restrict its processing. Most of this is available directly in the app; for anything else, write to us and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Retention & security
Cloud scans are kept until you delete them or your account. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our hosting providers. No method of storage is 100% secure, but access to production data is strictly limited.
7. Children
Fractalogie is not directed at children and is not intended for users under 16.
8. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and note it in the app. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
